Polarized

A range built from very strong hands and bluffs, with few medium hands.

In depth

A polarized range is composed solely of very strong hands and bluffs, with minimal or no medium-strength holdings. This structure forces opponents to make decisions based on whether they believe the bet represents value or a bluff, as their hands typically function only as bluff-catchers. It contrasts with merged ranges by excluding marginal hands, creating a binary dynamic in play.
