**All-in** refers to the action of committing all remaining chips to the current pot in a hand of poker. This move ends the player’s ability to bet further in the hand, as no chips are left. If other players continue betting, side pots may be created, limiting the all-in player’s claim to the main pot they can cover. The move is used to maximize pressure or commit a short stack.
