Under the Gun (UTG)
The first seat to act preflop, immediately left of the big blind. As the earliest position it acts before everyone post-flop except the blinds, so opening ranges here are traditionally the tightest. Reference 6-max 100bb RFI share: 14.3% (190/1,326 combos — see charts).

Under the Gun (UTG) is the first position to act preflop, located immediately to the left of the big blind. As the earliest seat in both 9-max and 6-max tables, UTG acts before all other players postflop except the blinds, resulting in a positional disadvantage. Due to this early position, UTG traditionally employs the tightest opening ranges.
