In depth
The Small Blind (SB) is the position immediately left of the dealer button, required to post a forced small blind bet. Preflop, it acts after the button but before the Big Blind. Post-flop, the SB becomes the first to act on every street—flop, turn, and river—despite having already invested chips, creating a positionally disadvantageous situation due to the lack of information from opponents' actions.
