In Texas Hold'em, a "brick" refers to a community card—typically low and offsuit—that alters little to nothing on the board. It neither completes draws (straight or flush) nor pairs high cards, leaving the existing hand strengths and board texture largely unchanged. Often used interchangeably with "blank," a brick contrasts sharply with a "scare card," which significantly impacts the action.
