Side pot
A separate pot created when one player is all-in and others keep betting.
In depth
A side pot is a secondary pot formed in Texas Hold'em when one player goes all-in and other active players continue betting. The additional wagers create this separate pot, which only the remaining players can compete for, while the all-in player remains eligible solely for the main pot—the portion matched by their chip stack. This mechanism ensures fair play by capping the all-in player’s exposure while allowing deeper-stacked opponents to contest further value among themselves.
