Made hand

A hand that already has real value without needing further cards.

In depth

A made hand is a poker holding that has immediate value on the current board, requiring no additional cards to be strong. It contrasts with drawing hands, which need improvement to gain strength. This classification—ranging from a weak pair to the nuts—helps players assess their hand’s current value, though its relative strength may shift as new community cards are revealed.
