Full house

Three of a kind plus a pair; ranked above a flush and below four of a kind.

In depth

A full house is a poker hand consisting of three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank. In the standard hand rankings, it ranks above a flush and below four of a kind. This combination is stronger than most made hands but can be vulnerable to higher full houses or four-of-a-kind holdings. Understanding its position in the hierarchy is key to evaluating its relative strength in play.
