Position

Where a player sits relative to the button, determining acting order; later is stronger.

In depth

In Texas Hold'em, position refers to a player's seating relative to the button, which dictates the order of action during betting rounds. Acting later in the sequence provides a strategic advantage, as it allows observation of opponents' decisions before making one's own. This informational edge makes later positions inherently stronger, reducing uncertainty in gameplay.
