Range advantage

Having a range that connects better with the board than the opponent overall.

In depth

**Range advantage** refers to a player’s overall hand range having a stronger connection with the current board texture than their opponent’s range. This concept evaluates how well a player’s possible holdings align with the community cards, influencing postflop strategy by determining which player can more credibly represent stronger hands. It is a collective measure of range compatibility rather than individual hand strength.
