Min-raise

Raising by exactly the minimum legal increment.

In depth

A min-raise is a raise made by the smallest legal increment permitted by the game’s rules. In no-limit and pot-limit formats, this equals the amount of the previous bet or raise. It increases the pot size while maintaining lower pressure than a larger raise, allowing opponents to continue with more favorable pot odds. Unlike a call, it reopens the betting action.
